"My Blackness and Isolation Led to My Addiction" | Hillary LeBlanc | Potentialize Studio (E5)
Today I introduce Hillary LeBlanc, an Acadian-Senegalese woman, who does an incredible amount of things, a few of which include working in communications, volunteering with the New Brunswick Education Department, freelance journalism, modeling, and creating content on social media… She is a huge advocate for various communities and is very passionate about equality and equity for all races, feminism, the LGBTQ+ community and the lower income community as well as speaking out on sexual assault, domestic violence and ending the stigma around addictions…
Today Hillary shares her remarkable story and gets very vulnerable. It is heartbreaking at times, one that includes tragic life experiences, addiction, racism and sexual assault… She shares her transition into recovery and her journey of self actualization which brings her to the place she is today, living the very best version of herself. It is an honor to share Hillary’s story with you today. I was moved and equally inspired… may it incite you to take action.
